DigiTruck Executive Summary Report: Bridging the Digital Divide in Kenya

The DigiTruck is an innovative initiative launched in Kenya in 2019 under Huawei’s TECH4ALL program. It serves as a mobile, solar-powered classroom equipped with laptops, smartphones, and internet connectivity. The primary goal of the DigiTruck is to provide digital skills training to underserved communities, empowering them with essential knowledge for the digital age.

Role of Computers For Schools Kenya (CFSK)

Computers For Schools Kenya (CFSK) has been a driving force behind the successful implementation of the DigiTruck program. Let’s delve into their crucial contributions:

  1. Deployment and Operation: CFSK actively collaborated with Huawei to deploy and operate the DigiTruck across various regions in Kenya. Their logistical expertise ensured that the DigiTruck reached remote areas, where access to digital education was limited.
  2. Training Facilitation: CFSK’s skilled trainers conducted digital skills workshops within the DigiTruck. They facilitated sessions on topics such as basic computer literacy, internet usage, and online safety. Through hands-on training, participants learned how to navigate the digital landscape effectively.
